  • To experience how poor the system has been, you need to have been a foster parent or adopter.Social Services policy has been stupidly dogmatic. There are some people who will foster or adopt children who are hard to place - the current system is made to dissuade them from pursuing that path. Having experienced the current system, I can tell you that the new guidelines are common sense .To experience how poor the system has been, you need to have been a foster parent or adopter.Social Services policy has been stupidly dogmatic. There are some people who will foster or adopt children who are hard to place - the current system is made to dissuade them from pursuing that path. • Tthe Fashanu brothers were raised by an elderly White couple, when their parents returned to Nigeria. They both went on to sporing success until the elder brother's sad death. They were featured as youngsters on the BBC and both seemed happy. Claire Gorman's complaint was that her natural Swiss mother gave her up for adoption. No mention of the absent Nigerian father. Being happy is the thing.
