A man is expected to appear in court following the death of a seven-year-old boy who was killed in a road crash in West Lothian. A 34-year-old driver has been charged with failing to stop following the death of a seven-year-old boy in Livingston.
Kurt Lynn was hit by a limo-style vehicle in Craigshill East Road, Livingston, on Saturday evening. Kurt Lynn was struck as he played near his grandmother's home on Saturday.
He was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, but died shortly afterwards. Irfan Khan also faced charges of culpable and reckless conduct and attempting to pervert the course of justice when he appeared at court.
A Crown Office spokesman said the man was due to appear at Linlithgow Sheriff Court later. A 23-year-old man was also released from custody at Linlithgow Sheriff Court, pending further inquiries.
A second man held over the incident has been released, the spokesman confirmed. Mr Khan was remanded in custody.
Both men, aged 23 and 34, had earlier been charged by Lothian and Borders Police. The incident took place in the town's Craigshill East Road.
