Two men, who were both in the Astra, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been taken to Gablecross police station. | |
The Nissan passenger, a local man in his 30s, who may have been thrown from the vehicle, was treated by ambulance crews on a nearby verge. He was later declared dead at Great Western Hospital. | |
The car's driver, aged in his 20s, was also treated at the scene. He was later taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and is in a critical condition. | |
