The incident began shortly after 10 p.m. as officers were headed to a home in the 7500 block of Tralee Woods Court to serve an arrest warrant for reckless discharge of a firearm, police said. Before officers reached Tralee Woods Court, two vehicles approached a police cruiser a short distance away near the intersection of Creedmor Drive and Irishmore Court.
