| I can hardly believe that the government consider this even remotely worth spending time and money on; this and the proposal for double summer time. Those of us of a certain age have seen all this before. Please lets have some original ideas! | |

| Too many Bank Holidays in the Spring, so October sounds more sensible and useful. Shame the government is wasting a Bank Holiday on some wedding at a time when we don't need it. | |

| Don't look back to single past glories, (such as Trafalgar), pivotal though they have been to our nation. People (like my Dad and uncle)lost their lives for Britain in many wars, and they are still doing so. If we need to celebrate something very British, let it be a Veterans Holiday, on St George's Day. Let us honour them, alive and not, and let us remember the common debt we owe them all. | |
