Hussam Ayloush, of the Los Angeles branch of Cair (Council on American–Islamic Relations), who has been speaking on behalf of the family of suspect Syed Farook, has once again expressed the family’s sorrow at Wednesday’s events.
He said the family wanted to convey their “genuine sentiment of sorrow and sadness … and of solidarity” to the families of those killed and wounded.
Ayloush said the shooting was a “hateful, horrific crime”:
This is a crime – there is absolutely no justification for such an act.
This is a time for solidarity, for resilience.
As a nation, we are in mourning for such crimes, whether it is in San Bernardino, or Colorado Springs, or anywhere else.
He said terrorists made up a tiny fraction of the world’s Muslim population, and stressed that the man accused of the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood shooting “definitely does not represent Christianity”.

He has tweeted about his cousin today:
My cousin's name is Isaac Amanios and he was a great human being. Thoughts and prayers are with my family back in CA.
Thank you all for your kind words and well wishes, means a lot after something like this. Also thank those first responders, true heroes.
